Mallory’s Introduction to the Congregation–April 10, 2016

On Sunday, April 10, 2016, Mallory Ringenbach was introduced to the congregation as our new Youth Ministry Coordinator. This audio file includes the end of the sermon, introducing Mallory, and her commissioning.

Meet our new Youth Ministries Coordinator, Mallory Ringenbach

MalloryMallory attended Brevard College in Western North Carolina where she received her B.A. in Elementary Education.  Through her high school and college years, she has gained experience working and connecting with children of all ages through theatre, after school programs and childcare, volunteer opportunities, and summer camp programs. Mallory found her niche in the United Methodist Church at an early age, as a participant in weekly worship, and as an enthusiastic member of her home youth group. She hopes to help the young people of Christ Crossman navigate through the many blessings and opportunities God has to offer, and establish an enduring relationship with God and each other. “We can never be hopeless, because we can never been irreparably broken. We think that we are invincible because we are.”

Everyone is invited.  This is the “official” Young Adult, Young Family, AND Youth Group activity, plus it’s a great opportunity for all of Christ Crossman to gather outside of church, and bring a friend!

The game begins at 4:05, and after the game there will be a special presentation of Nationals players testimonies and a concert featuring local area choirs.

Tickets are $12 ($5 from every ticket sold will help benefit The House DC, which aims to transform and empower the lives of inner city youth and their families through Jesus, by giving them hope, a productive future, and a changed community; the House DC seeks to meet the physical & spiritual needs of youth in Anacostia and beyond).

To claim your ticket in the CCUMC block, email the office .

This Is Your Church: A Conversation

June 14, 11 a.m.

Everyone, youth and adult, is encouraged to join together after worship on June 14 for an important gathering over lunch, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary.

We will discuss and learn about the mission, vision, and values of Christ Crossman and how God is calling us to be and make disciples of Jesus Christ, sharing the ways we organize and fund this ministry, especially with the opportunity for each of us to grow and serve together. The support and participation of all is needed as we continue to move forward faithfully and sustainably.

Child care and supervision is provided
